About

All my life I've been interested in ten thousand things and show no sign of doing otherwise - but, as far as my work is concerned, I guess I might select a few gravitational fields, subjects that keep pulling me towards them, things that never cease to tease my curiosity, like ethnographic and historic studies of literacy, book history, the history of the relationships between linguistics and anthropology, ethnography and non-fiction writing, and literary criticism.

I wrote my PhD dissertation on Alton Becker's work, and I'd like to gather the stamina to turn it into a book someday: Becker's work deserves a wider audience.
